Bruce Sterling

Best known as one of the founders of the Cyberpunk Genre, Bruce Sterling is a great SF writer who has humor to temper his insight. His Novels include The Difference Engine, coauthored by William Gibson, Heavy Weather, Distraction, Holy Fire Zeitgeist and Schismatrix. He also wrote The Hacker Crackdown: Law and Disorder on the Electronic Frontier. Many of his short stories are collected in Globalhead and A Good Old-Fashioned Future.

Julie Bell is an SF and Fantasy artist who paints and also produces sculpture and jewelry. Her work has appeared on many book and magazine covers.

Ron Westrum
Scientist Guest of Honor

Ron Westrum has studied the effects of technology in society and also the sociology of technological development, especially regarding high-performance design teams and organizational environments. He is the author of Sidewinder: Creative Missile Development at China Lake, Complex Organizations: Growth, Struggle and Change, and Technologies & Society: The Shaping of People and Things. Ron reports that he loves sci-fi, and actually wrote letters to Heinlein, Asimov, and Jack Vance (the latter two replied) when he was a teen-ager. He's a fan of Babylon 5 fan as well. His current project is doing studies of inventors.

Geri Sullivan
Fan Guest of Honor

Many know Geri as one of the hosts of the perrenial Minneapolis in '73 bid party. She has also helped run Minicon for many years, publishes a fanzine called Idea, and headed the Hospitality division at ConJosé, the World Science Fiction Convention of 2002. She's a really neat, smart, fun, and all-around impressive lady. Just ask her about her Pez collection.

Robert J. Sawyer
Toastmaster

Rob Sawyer is a well-known award-winning SF author. His novels include The Terminal Experiment, Frameshift, Factoring Humanity, Flashforward, and Calculating God. He is also a popular speaker and we look forward to having him as our MC.
