• Hotel: For the second year, we will be at the Van Dyke Park Suite Hotel and Conference Center in Warren, MI (810) 939-2860.
  • The Van Dyke Park has an indoor pool in a large atrium. Party rooms will be around the pool, and quiet rooms are in an isolated wing. See the Party FAQ for room rate information.
  • There is a 220-seat auditorium with a full-size movie screen and 16mm projector. (yes, film programming is back this year)
  • There is a free continental breakfast for all ConFusion members, whether or not they stay in the hotel.

  The hotel is sold out - you can still feel free to call in case someone releases a room, but our overflow hotel is the Quality Inn across the street. They will even be providing a courtesy shuttle. The room rates at the Quality Inn will be $45 for a standard room with one or two beds, and $75 for a jacuzzi room with one or two beds. Call (810) 264-0100 and mention ConFusion to get this discount rate. They'll be offering this rate, subject to space availabilty, right up to the weekend of the convention. Our designated overflow hotel last year was the Fairfield Inn, which is also across the street.

• Programming: See a Programming Preview for 1998. ConFusion traditions include Panels and Workshops; Gaming; Banquet; the best Consuite in the galaxy, and a regular Saturday night Masquerade Ball.
• Hucksters:The dealers room mailing goes out every August, and we full. To get on the waiting list for 1998 or the mailing list for 99, send a letter to Tom Barber, 3111 Washtenaw, Ann Arbor MI 48104.
• Art Show:To get on the art show mailing list for 1998, send a letter to ConFusion Art Show, PO Box 8284, Ann Arbor MI 48107.
• Call for Volunteers: ConFusion is a volunteer effort - an event for SF fans run by SF fans. We are always seeking volunteers to assist in all stages of convention planning and execution. If you want to make a meaningful contribution - to join with us in creating the best of all possible ConFusions - contact us at the address listed below, or at a Stilyagi Air Corps function, or our email list.
