The 2009 ConFusion Science Fiction Art Show seeks you! We are in our 3rd year of renewal and are expanding more each time. Last year's success with help from industry great, Carl Lundgren, is set to happen again with this year's Artist Guest of Honor, Diana Harlan Stein.

Here are some basic rules for the show:

There is no art auction. All sales are flat-rate and final. Please price your pieces accordingly.

Next, prints and originals are displayed similarly. Plan for all to be incorporated into your display. I and my staff will follow any display guidelines you request, within spatial allotment and financial reason. Please contact me with any specific concerns. Please note that unless told otherwise, all art sent will display together at once.

Mail-ins are accepted and returns will be made the Monday after the convention has ended. Mail-ins should be sent no later than January 7, 2009. Any mail-in artist should either include return postage or contact me for alternate options.

There will be no fee for displaying pieces, but a 10% commission from sales will be taken to expand our show budget for next year.

It is my hope to expand our Artist Alley, where any attending artist looking to promote themselves and sell any other non-matted work (posters, comics, CDs of art, etc.) I hope that this would also allow artists to meet and converse about our shared craft, as well as allow the convention attendees meet the artists. Anyone attending the con and is interested in participating with the artist alley, please contact me at the email address below and I will begin to set up a time/seat chart.

• Friday 6:00p - 10:00p
• Saturday 10:00a - 6:00p
• Sunday 10:00a - 3:00p

Drop off can be done any time during operating hours. Pick-up should be done Sunday after 2.

Artists' Alley

We are introducing an artist alley this year, where artists can come and promote themselves, as well as let the attendees meet the people responsible for the fantastic art available for sale. We hope to encourage everyone to partake of the artist alley as a chance to bring your works to a larger audience, as well as make contact with the artists who create the wonderful work.
